So... do you actually control where you run... or just where you shoot?

Looks like a G36C with an under barrel launcher :D in most of the screenies...

So are the weapons going to be licensed or made up?

Damn Tyger, within 16 minutes of posting the Studio Update you've read it and written a post. Do you live in Ben's flat, mate? ;)

Glad to see something new about the club. There's so much to see in the screenshots, a lot of which a graphical issues, which I'm not sure if they are final.
First there is a lot of aliasing going on. Secondly some of the textures look rather low(er) on the resolution side. Are they not final or is it to keep the pace up? PGR3 had a lot of detail in the textures but had problems keeping that LOD when moving the camera very fast.
Rain is cool. Is this part of the sharing between teams? I also think to see some Boom Boom Rocket fireworks effects in the explosions.
Characters look phenomenal. The UI looks very Sega-ish i.e. a bit too big.
But then again there are people who need to see in on those old fashioned non-HD TV's. ;)

Now all I need is a demo of some in-game footage. That way you don't have the hard task of describing how the game works...
Is my Wii Fit? I can plunge your Endless Ocean with my Smooth Moves 'till Twilight, Princess.

My two coppers.

I think The Club looks stellar!

The images are from early builds so absolute consistency in appearances is not a concern for me.

The environments have a bold, detailed look. Much different from the browns and greys of that "other" third-person shooting title.

The premise sounds more interesting as details come to light. I have a concern with seeing someone that looks like a firefighter running around shooting people( seems a little ironic, a life saver taking lives...maybe that's the intent? ).

If Bizarre can just try and watch out for two things:

1) Camera control. I nagged about this before and someone reassured me, but it can't be emphasized enough. Gears did a good job of it. Don't make the player hate the game for this reason.

2) Cover system. If The Club employs one, be careful how to implement it. GRAW was terrible. Gears was great but the recent update has now made the cover points more "sticky' and so far, it's been a real nuisance. RB6: Vegas did a good job as well.

Anyway, keep up the great work! It looks very promising! :thumbsupleft:

From reading those previews, a cover system would be very surprising. The Club's not about sneaking around, ducking behind cover and taking pot shots. It is about pwning the heck outta the AI as quickly as possible and wracking up tons of points.

Screw the cover system, they'd need more of an acrobatics system, to pull off rolls, slides, among other things, kicking ass while your at it. Would be cool if they could implement a way to do such maneuvers, while still giving the player complete control over where they are shooting, or who they are shooting, in the case if there is an auto-targeting system.

An auto-targeting system would work if somehow there was a mechanic or need for the player to dodge bullets, like the AI.
