Those are some nice pictures, but I saw a lot of other pics on other threads that I personally think were better, so it should be interesting to see if perhaps they just didn't fit the category or the powers that be decided they actually weren't as good as I thought. Bring on the final 132!
Congrats to the winners. You have earned our praise and envy... and some sweet prizes.

Woooooo runner up!!!1
Didn't expect that one to 'win', even; if anything, I thought my best car photo pic would win:
edit: FYI, I'm the second runner up in the city category.
Brett's is nice, btw, but I find the blur on the car very distracting.
My favorites are Daniel Du Cross's (runner up) speed:

And my counterpart, Montgomery's Toyko shot:

It's a shot we've all probably taken, but he absolutely %!^?# nailed the color balance, contrast, etc.
Daniel Wright's Style is also very impressive technically, though the shot itself could have been done a bit better in terms of focus, saturation, blur, etc.:

So, thanks for the contest, guys, I'll be sure to post my schwag when I get it!
I feel very much like this right about now:
