totaly understandable and outlines very good points. the reason the games industry continues to grow is that theres new ideas and concepts with arcade games and so forth. people that copy the idea or concept is 1. trying to cath some revenue off a gd platform 2. have no imagination if i was going to create a game in arcade for example its prty plain that you will be influenced with things you have played and seen in past or present but the fact is theres no satisfaction in recreating an origanal idea why not create somthing diffrent.
just my view anyone else with simler or oposite view.

This is something that happens all the time. Someone has a great idea and then a lot of other companies change it a little and then it's kind of legal. How do you think MS got so big? Even though I don't think it's right but it's way it's always been. Sorry.

There's a game called Grid Wars 2 that looks exactly the same as Geo Wars 2. I saw some screens of Grid Wars in PC Gamer (which incidentally, didn't have the game on their discs because of "legal" issues) and thought BC were going to/had released Geo Wars 2 on the PC! Amazingly, the article next to it said that the PC games of this type "had been around for ages" (or words to that effect) and I was amazed that BC would be allowed to copy someone like that, so I came to the conclusion that Grid Wars must have copied Geo Wars and that the article was wrong.
Not surprised to see this TBH, when I saw this article did a search for Grid Wars to see what it was and the gameplay does seem a little difference, it would be cool if BC could actually incorporate these different elements (scoring points from black holes) into Geo Wars asa different gameplay mode or something, with the guy who made Grid Wars permission obviously

It's the fact that it looks exactly the same that BC are complaining about, not the fact it copies this or that part of the gameplay mechanic.

It's perfectly understandable why Bizarre wants to take action.
First of all, clones like these will hurt sales and secondly it's stealing an original IP.
If games are art than Grid Wars 2 is like my new painting; Jay Dubya's Mother:

Microsoft got big by helping to create the Personal Computer and by virtually dominating the Operating System market since Bill Gates left college. Microsoft didn't make it big by stealing game ideas, they made it big by being a dominate force in the entire computer market and pushing lots of great products out.
