Bizarre runners complete half marathon

13.1 miles of gruelling endurance

Tuesday, March 04 2008

MichelleSeveral Bizarre folk have completed the Liverpool Half Marathon this weekend, whilst earning money for the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity.

Jason, Michelle, and Sandy all completed the 13.1 mile route, which began in the green fields of South Liverpool and winded its way through to the main city itself... and then back again. Ouch! Jason was up front with a thoroughly respectable time of 1:26:23 (a personal best of over a minute!), Michelle came in at 2 hours 1 minute, and Sandy made it across the line at 1:58. Well, that's what he says... but he apparently "lost" the timer microchip so we'll have to take his word for it!

Huge congratulations to all three of you, WELL DONE! Here's hoping your legs make a full recovery sooner rather than later!

The half marathon is the first of many fundraisers Bizarre has planned for this year. You can see full details of our charity efforts here.

If you haven't yet donated, we'd be thrilled if you'd consider doing so. We've setup an online fundraising page, which you can visit and donate online. Click here to view it. You can also track progress through our Facebook event here.

In the meantime, here's a video of 'Chelle crossing the finish line. Victory!!!
